Serento is a control point. It is only as good as the streamers and DACs it drives, which is why we would rather work with the people who build them than guess from the outside. If you make audio hardware, this page is for you.
Every streamer, properly.
UPnP and OpenHome are open standards, but no two devices read them the same way. One streamer reports a format it cannot actually decode. Another needs DSD wrapped in DoP where its neighbour wants it native. A third answers discovery only on its second attempt. None of that is a bug in the standard, and almost none of it is documented anywhere. It is learned, device by device, usually from a customer who noticed something was wrong.
Our aim is simple and deliberately unglamorous: Serento should work correctly with every streamer and network DAC on the market, not just the popular ones. We would much rather find a quirk with you, on a bench, before your customers do.
No cost, no exclusivity, no catch
We are not selling a certification programme and there is nothing to sign to get started. Working together costs you an email and, ideally, access to a device. Compatibility work is never conditional on a commercial arrangement — if your streamer misbehaves with Serento we want to fix it either way, because a control point that only works with some hardware is not much of a control point.

Most of this is engineering, not marketing. Pick whichever parts are useful to you and ignore the rest.
We test against your device
A loan or review unit, or remote access to one on your bench, lets us verify the whole path: discovery, browsing, gapless, native DSD and DoP, sample-rate switching, volume, transport state and recovery after a network drop. You get the findings whether or not anything needs changing.
Real logs, not guesses
Serento can export a full protocol log: every SOAP action, every response, every DIDL payload. If the problem turns out to be on our side we fix it; if it is in the firmware you get a precise, reproducible report instead of "it does not work with some app".
A second pair of eyes on your firmware
We have read a lot of ContentDirectory and AVTransport implementations. If you are writing or revising one, we are happy to review behaviour against the spec and against what control points actually send in the field, before it ships.
Builds before they ship
Beta builds so you can check your product against the next release, and a heads-up when we change anything that touches the protocol layer. No surprises in either direction.
You talk to the developer
No support tier, no ticket queue, no account manager relaying questions. The person who answers is the person who writes the code that talks to your device.
Verified compatibility, stated plainly
Once a device is tested we are glad to say so, and to document anything owners need to know about setting it up. Useful to your customers, and it saves both of us the same support email.
Other kinds of partnership.
Compatibility is the part we care about most, but it is not the only thing worth talking about. A few arrangements that make obvious sense, and we are open to shapes that are not on this list.
Ship Serento with your hardware
Include a Serento subscription in the box, as part of a bundle or a promotion. Your customer opens a streamer and has a control point that already works with it, instead of shopping for one. We can handle this with redeemable codes or a volume arrangement, whichever fits how you sell.
Retail, dealers and distributors
If you sell through dealers who set systems up in customers' homes, a control point that is known to work with your range removes a recurring friction from every installation. Happy to talk about how that is packaged and supported.
Co-written setup material
Setup guides written jointly, so your manual and our guide say the same thing about your device rather than contradicting each other. We already publish a full setup section and are glad to extend it per manufacturer.
Whatever you had in mind
OEM or white-label ideas, a feature your platform needs, joint press around a launch, an exhibition where a working demo would help. If it makes the experience better for someone who owns your hardware, it is worth an email. We will tell you honestly if it is not something we can do.

Write as much or as little detail as you like. The list below is what helps us reply usefully on the first try, not a form you have to fill in.
- Who you are and which products you make.
- The model or range you would like Serento verified against.
- Which protocols the device speaks: UPnP AV, OpenHome, or both.
- What it supports on paper: maximum PCM rate, native DSD or DoP, gapless.
- Anything you already know is awkward about it. Nobody is judging; it helps enormously.
- Whether you can lend a unit, or would rather we test remotely on yours.
- If you have a commercial arrangement in mind, roughly what shape.
One address for everything, partnerships included. A human reads it and replies, usually within a few days. If a subject line helps you route it internally, "Partnership" is already filled in.
