01 Getting started 1

What Serento does to your audio (nothing) Serento is a control application, not a player. The audio never passes through your phone.

02 Servers 3

My server disappears after the NAS restarts The server is fine. Its media device is still registering while the library scan runs. The MinimServer settings Serento expects A few properties in minimserver.config change what Serento can show you. Using Serento with Plex Plex works, over its own API rather than DLNA, with a few differences.

03 Streamers & renderers 2

My streamer doesn't appear in the output list It has to speak UPnP AV or OpenHome, on the same network segment. Issues you may encounter Limits of streamers, servers and networks that we and our beta testers ran into, and where the fix has to come from.

04 Playback 3

DSD: DoP versus native, and what your streamer supports Serento sends DSD the way your renderer says it wants it, and never converts. Gapless playback, and what Silent Network actually does Gapless is on by default. Silent Network protects clicky DACs, and gapless overrides it completely. 05 Libraries & sync 3

Why the first sync takes so long It reads your entire catalogue once. After that, browsing never touches the network. What Enrich Data fills in, and what it never touches Artwork, biographies, classical details and album identification. Never your own tags. The same album appears more than once Album version grouping collapses duplicates. It is a setting, and it needs a moment to apply.

06 Offline & downloads 1

Downloads, offline playback, and using your phone as the source Downloaded music plays with no server and no internet, and can still feed a network streamer.
