Serento Download
Pricing · One app, three platforms

Pay yearly. Or pay once.

Serento is one application with one feature set. There is no Pro tier, no per-device fee and nothing that a larger plan unlocks · the only thing to decide is how you would rather pay for it.

Fourteen days free · no account to create · billed by Apple · Family Sharing for up to six people

01 · The plans

Fourteen days, then your choice.

The trial is the whole application, not a reduced version of it. When it runs out nothing is deleted and nothing is uploaded anywhere · your library, your tags and your ratings stay exactly where they are while you decide.

Everything, from the first minute

  • The complete application, every feature on this page
  • No account, no card, nothing to enter
  • Tied to your iCloud, so a reinstall cannot restart it
  • A live countdown in Settings › Membership

Starts the moment you open the app

Start here Annual

$50 / year

About $4.17 a month

  • Every feature, on iPhone, iPad and Mac
  • Every update released while it runs
  • Family Sharing · up to six people
  • Move to Lifetime whenever you like
  • Cancel from your Apple Account in two taps

Renews yearly · cancel any time

Lifetime

$200 · once

Four years of annual, and then nothing

  • Every feature, on iPhone, iPad and Mac
  • Every update, with nothing further to pay
  • Family Sharing · up to six people
  • Nothing to renew and nothing to cancel
  • One tap to add if you started on annual

One payment · no renewal

Both plans are bought inside the app, in Settings › Membership. Apple takes the payment and we never see your card. The figures here are the US dollar list prices · your own storefront charges the equivalent in its own currency.

02 · Which one is cheaper

Four years of annual is exactly Lifetime.

Neither plan is the better deal in the abstract. It depends entirely on how long you go on using Serento, so here is the whole calculation, drawn to scale.

Annual, running total More than Lifetime would have cost Lifetime, paid once
Lifetime · $200
Year 1
$50
Year 2
$100
Year 3
$150
Year 4
$200
Year 5
$250
Year 6
$300

Year 4 · the same money

The two meet at the end of year four; from year five onwards Lifetime is the cheaper of them. If you are undecided, start on annual · moving to Lifetime is one tap at any point, and the first three years cost less that way.
03 · What is included

Every feature. In both plans.

This is the complete list of what Serento does: seventy-six capabilities across fourteen chapters. Not one of them is reserved for a higher tier, because there is no higher tier · and the fourteen-day trial includes all of it too.

04 · What you never pay for

The bill stops at the app.

A control application should not arrive with a second, recurring cost attached to it. Serento has nothing to sell you after the purchase, because there is nothing running on our side to charge you for.

No account

Nothing to sign up for

There is no Serento account, no password and no email address to hand over. The trial and the purchase are both anchored to the Apple Account you already have, and the key we store is one-way: we cannot turn it back into a name, an email or an Apple ID.

No cloud

Your music never leaves the house

Serento streams from your own server to your own renderer, inside your own network. We store none of it · so there is no storage tier, no bandwidth charge, and no library size at which the price goes up.

One purchase

Three platforms, six people

iPhone, iPad and Mac are one application and one purchase on the same Apple Account. Both plans are set up for Family Sharing, so a household of up to six is covered by the one you buy.

No upsell

No ads, no tiers, nothing sold on

There is no advertising in Serento, no feature held back for a larger plan, and nothing about your listening is sold to anybody. What the anonymous telemetry does contain is written out in full on the privacy page.

05 · Billing

Questions about paying.

You get a fourteen-day free trial with no account to create, tied to your iCloud so a reinstall cannot reset it. After that you choose an annual plan or a one-time Lifetime purchase, billed by Apple, with Family Sharing supported. If you start with annual, you can upgrade to Lifetime any time.

Inside the app, in Settings › Membership. There is nothing to buy on this website and no checkout here: Apple takes the payment through your Apple Account, the same way every other App Store purchase works, and we never see your card details.

Yes, at any point, from the same Membership screen. Nothing is lost in the move and there is no window in which it has to happen. If you are undecided at the end of the trial, annual is the lower-risk way to start.

Yes. Serento is one application on all three, and a purchase follows your Apple Account rather than a device, so signing in on another one restores it. Both plans are set up for Apple Family Sharing, which covers up to six people in a family group.

An annual plan is cancelled in your Apple Account subscription settings, not here, and access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Lifetime has nothing to cancel. Refunds are Apple's to give, through reportaproblem.apple.com · and if something is wrong, write to us first and we will try to fix it.

Serento asks you to choose a plan before it carries on playing. Nothing is deleted and nothing is uploaded: the library you synced, along with every tag, rating, playlist and bookmark, stays on your device and is exactly where you left it if you subscribe later.

Fourteen days, no account

Point it at your server and press play.

The trial is tied to your iCloud, so a reinstall cannot reset it - and there is nothing to sign up for either way.
